Teja Vidyalaya Students visit to Sholai School
As we do it every year, this year too we planned an educational tour in the month of February. The main objective of the programme is to let our teachers and students know how the schools are, what kind of academic environment and infrastructural facilities they have etc.,
This year we visited Sholai school, Kodaikkanal, Tamilnadu. The school is located in a quiet, serene and scenic vally in the Palani Hills of Tamilnadu. It was really an out of the world kind of exprience to all of use. Right from the main entrance to every single inch of close to 100 acres of school premises taught us so many lessons. The landscape, the class rooms, the gardens, the giant trees, the bridge.... the list doesn't end here. The beuty is, all most all these were constructed by the students themselves. every kind in that school is a scientist, an engineer and a philosopher. The other thing that made us speechless is they never face power crisis as they don't rely on Government for power. They don't have grid connection. They use renewable energy to meet all their requirements. On the whole the trip was a life time experience to all of us. We thanked Mr. jenkins, the Principal of the school, the staff and the students for giving us such a great oppurtunity to be with them for a couple of days.
